ONEX OMS LLC (“ONEX”) provides medical billing, medical coding, revenue cycle management, and related healthcare support services. In certain client engagements, ONEX may handle Protected Health Information (PHI) on behalf of healthcare providers and other covered entities.

1. Protection of PHI

ONEX is committed to handling PHI in accordance with applicable privacy and security requirements and the terms of applicable client agreements.

Where ONEX acts as a Business Associate, the applicable Business Associate Agreement (BAA) and client agreement govern the handling and protection of PHI.

2. Use and Disclosure of PHI

PHI may be accessed, used, or disclosed only as permitted by applicable law and the relevant client agreement or BAA.

ONEX does not use PHI for purposes unrelated to providing authorized services except where permitted or required by law.

3. Security of PHI

ONEX takes appropriate measures to protect PHI against unauthorized access, use, disclosure, alteration, or loss, consistent with applicable requirements and contractual obligations.

Access to PHI is limited to authorized personnel and service providers who require it for legitimate business or service-related purposes.

4. Website and Contact Forms

Do not submit patient medical records, PHI, Social Security numbers, financial information, or other sensitive information through general website contact forms or ordinary email unless ONEX has specifically provided a secure method for doing so.

General website forms are not intended to serve as a secure channel for transmitting sensitive patient information.

5. Business Associate Relationships

When ONEX performs services involving PHI on behalf of a covered entity, the applicable BAA and service agreement establish the permitted uses, disclosures, responsibilities, and requirements for handling PHI.

6. Privacy and Security Incidents

ONEX maintains processes for addressing suspected privacy or security incidents involving information handled in connection with its services and will take appropriate action consistent with applicable requirements and contractual obligations.
